Bio

Sasha Lanier (pronounced "Luh-NEER") is a country/roots singer and songwriter who grew up in North Carolina and moved to the West Coast in her teens. Musical influences include artists like Mississippi John Hurt, Lucinda Williams, Gillian Welch, Willie Nelson, and Madeleine Peyroux.  Stark, spare, and imaginative, Lanier’s songs take listeners down a dry and dusty road of broken hopes and rediscovered faith. Her sound is both original and timeless, straightforward yet deceptively sophisticated.
